A dirt crawl space in Searcy, AR was letting in water and therefore humidity, which was effecting the overall health of the home. The homeowners contacted Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas, who arrived at the home with solutions.

A CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed, a liner specifically designed for environments such as this. In addition to the liner, a SuperSump Sump Pump was also put in place. This will collect any water that finds its way into the crawl space, and expels it out of the home and away from the foundation. These two implementations will work together in protecting this crawl space from water & humidity, leaving the homeowners happy with a healthier space.

This crawl space was just a dirt floor with no protection. The crew installed CleanSpace, a SaniDry Sedona, and a Smart Sump to prevent any future problems from affecting this home. 

Dirt Crawl Spaces are a great place for bugs to live. They have the right temperature, moisture, damp wood, and shelter. Spiders, beetles, centipedes, termites, and all kinds of other insects are found in dirt crawl spaces. Animals such as mice (dead or alive) are commonly found in dirt crawl spaces. Customer's crawl space was in bad shape and needed some TLC. Due to allergy issues, our Design Specialist recommended our CleanSpace Liner, a Sedona dehumidifier, and SmartSump sump pump. 

After removing debris and insulation, we graded and prepped the space for our CleanSpace Liner. Our CleanSpace Liner isolates the home from the earth permanently and completely. This reduces the humidity levels in the air. By combining sealing off the outside air and dehumidification with the Sedona, we elimate the ability for mold to grow and rot. 

This client called in during the process of buying their new home. They stated that they had noticed issues with the insulation, wet floor joists, and other water damage. Our system design specialist knew that this home would need several things including: a full CleanSpace Encapsulation System and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. 

Our crew got right to work on the removal and disposal of hanging insulation, as well as other debris in the crawl space. Once the crew got the area cleaned, graded, and prepped, they laid down our Drainage Matting underneath our thick 20-mil CleanSpace liner, which helps control humidity and moisture coming up from the ground from getting to the home. Finally, the crew installed a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to get and keep the relative humidity at or below 55%. 

This space is now clean, dry, and much healthier for the homeowner and the whole family!
