Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas came out to the Heber Springs, AR home to inspect its crawl space. The homeowners were dealing with moisture related issues and an unstable foundation, both issues Crawl Space Solutions of AR was determined to handle.
We installed Smart Jacks, adjustable steel piers that stabilize your homes foundation. In addition to the Smart Jacks, a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier liner and drainage matting was also installed. The liner encapsulates the crawl space and protects it from pests, humidity, and moisture.
This crawl space is now safe and stable, giving the homeowners peace of mind.
These homeowners in Heber Springs, Arkansas were concerned about the support underneath their homes foundation. The crawl space currently housed upright cinder blocks that were essentially holding up the house. Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas came in and knew right away that the cinder blocks needed an upgrade. SmartJacks are designed for situations just like this, they are high-capicity, fully adjustable steel piers.
For good measure, a drainage matting was also installed thoroughout the entire crawl space. This will help with moisture build up.
We installed Cleanspace and other products under this home to help this customer with a humidity problem.
Electricians, plumbers, and HVAC techs may all need access to your crawl space, but another contractor often overlooked is your termite company. Homeowners in Heber Springs contacted us for help, not only was there moisture in their crawl space causing mold and rot, but their termite company was ready to end their contract because of the insulation that had been installed in their crawl space. Our Design Specialist, Jack, performed a complete inspection of the crawl space and proposed a solution to not only dry out the crawl space, but insulate it more effectively.
After grading and prepping the crawl space, Jordan and his team installed graphite infused SilverGlo Insulation Panels to insulate the space. SilverGlo Vent Seals were custom cut and installed to keep outside air and humidity from entering the crawl space. The team then worked to remove the foam insulation from the floor joists so the termite company would be able to complete their inspections. Wallie, a 12-mil thick white liner, was used to wrap the piers, with the bottom of the liner resting below the Drainage Matting. Drainage Matting allows a drainage space beneath it for ground water to flow and adds puncture resistance, durability, and a thermal break for the CleanSpace Liner. This liner is a 23-mil thick, 7-layer polyethylene liner that prevents condensation from the ground reaching the building materials, isolating the home from the earth. A powerful and efficient SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier will remove moisture from the air, and since we service what we install, it is worry free for you.
When we say we do “All things crawl space-y”, we mean it! These homeowners were able to keep their termite contract, insulate their home, and eliminate the chance for mold and rot with one phone call. What can we do for you today?
