Customer requested a clean up of their crawlspace. In order to clean up the area, we removed and disposed of the hanging and old insulation. Hanging insulation can make any crawlspace look untidy and in disrepair. We then cleaned any addtional debris in the are and began making the space a clean, healthy, and completely usable space. We added our Drainage Matting, allowing any water to travel underneath the Cleanspace Liner that was laid on top. The drainage matting will help the flow of water, if there is any, as well as adds durability, puncture resistance, and a thermal break.
We installed a Sanidry Sedona to control the humidity in the space. Sealing off and controling the humidity in the space, makes the crawl space healthy, in turning making the home itself healthier as well. This also allows for the space to being a good storage area, if you need additional storage options.
Over time, we have learned that stack effect within the home starts in the crawl space. The air from the crawlspace rises, entering the home, then escaping from the roof. By regulating and keeping the air in the crawl space healthy, it in turn provides healthy air to be filtered into the home itself. A happy, healthy crawl space effects the home in a positive way.
Our production team installed a full encapsulation system, structural support, and a drainage system in this crawl space.
For the encapsulation system, we installed our CleanSpace Liner with Drainage Matting underneath including a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. For better drainage options, we installed Ez Flow with a SmartSump sump pump. For structural support, we installed our Smart Jack system.
Our Smart Jacks are a supplemental support system that supports sagging beam and floor joists.
Our Encapsulation system effectively keeps the humidity down in the crawl space by sealing outside air from the space and using a dehumidifier to regulate the space.
Our Drainage system routes the water to a waiting sump pump, to pump the water out of the crawl space.
Denise, a homeowner in North Little Rock, called because a contractor had been under her home and notified her about excess moisture in her crawl space. Our Design Specialist, Curtis, inspected the crawl space and found not only moisture, but mold was already starting to form. He designed the perfect plan to remedy both issues for the homeowner, and she agreed.
Justin and his crew began by applying Mold-X2, a cleaner to remove mold, and Mold-X2 Botanical to prevent mold from growing back. The piers were wrapped with 12-mil thick Wallie liner to prevent condensation on masonry, and SilverGlo Insulation Panels were installed to insulate the space. The graded space was covered by Drainage Matting to facilitate ground water flow below, and the CleanSpace Liner isolates the home from the earth. The powerful SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier removes moisture from the air, and the custom cut EverLast Door make sure this crawl space is dry. A dry crawl space creates a healthy home, allowing this homeowner to breathe easier!
This homeowner called in stating that her home had developed an odd smell in certain areas. She knew she needed a professional to help her get to the root of the issue. Our Design Specialist, Jack, found that the home had some excess moisture in the crawl space and would need a full encapsulation.
Justin and his crew prepped and graded the crawl space and installed the SmartSump Sump Pump and WaterWatch Alarm System with an exterior discharge line. The walls and vents were insulated with SilverGlo Insulation Panels, and the Drainage Matting was installed to direct ground water towards the sump pump. The CleanSpace Liner isolates the home from the earth, and the bright white finished side allows the homeowner to see their crawl space is free of mold, insects, and dirt. An Energy Star rated SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier pulls any excess moisture out of the air and drains it into the sump pump.
The homeowner has a fresher, cleaner smelling home that is healthier and drier.
