When this homeowner noticed her floors were bowing, she knew it was due to the wet crawl space in her Bald Knob home. Her brother referred her to us, as we had waterproofed his basement in Jonesboro, so she made us her first choice. One of our Design Specialists, Jack, came out to inspect the crawl space and found that her floor joists and sub floor had absorbed a lot of moisture from the crawl space. He designed a solution to eliminate the water and dry the building materials, and she agreed with his plan.
Jordan and his crew prepped and graded the crawl space, directing water to flow to the perimeter of the home. The piers were wrapped with Wallie, a 12-mil thick liner to prevent condensation on masonry, and the SilverGlo Insulation panels infused with graphite to increase the R Value were installed on the walls of the crawl space. With Drainage Matting laid to create a drainage space under CleanSpace for water to flow beneath, the CleanSpace Liner was installed to isolate the home from the earth and reduce humidity level in the air. A SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier removes up to one hundred pints of water per day, moving dry air around the crawl space and drying out the building materials.
We know you have a choice when considering crawl space repair companies, and we appreciate you choosing us and referring your friends and family to CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas!
This customer had tried other things to insulate the crawl space and make it more energy-efficient, but it wasn't working. We helped this customer have a more energy-efficient home by installing CleanSpace and a Sani-Dry Sedona Dehumidifier underneath their home.
This is our SmartSump, which is a combination of patented and custom components that make up a highly efficient and reliable water evacuation system for crawl space environments. SmartSumps are designed to evacuate water from the CleanSpace Encapsulation System. Since you don't go into your crawl space a lot, you need to know if there is a plumbing leak. The SmartSump has a unique lid design so water from a plumbing leak fills an alarm pocket on the lid first, sounding a WaterWatch alarm. From there, the water flows down a special airtight floor drain that lets water down, but damp air cannot come up into your crawl space. The alarm also alerts you to pump or any power failures. It does have an optional battery backup protection, in case the power does go out. The optional UltraSump battery backup pumping system has a second pump in case of primary pump failure, the second switch in case of switch failure, and a second power source in case of power failure. The UltraSump can pump out over 12,000 gallons of water out with the energy in the special 120 AMP sealed power pack. A charger keeps it charged when the power is on, and an alarm will tell you when the UltraSump is operating. The UltraSump is optional, but highly recommended!
Drainage Matting helps water flow away from the foundation. Without it, water can stay trapped against the concrete or pool at the bottom. Drainage matting comes with a dimpled design that lets water accumulate and flow away, creating an air gap.
Dirt crawl spaces have high humidity levels necessary for mold growth. Humidity levels from 50%-90% are easily found in dirt crawl spaces that have never flooded. The clean space encapsulation system completely isolates your home from the earth. This dramatically reduces the humidity level in the air which!
