This customer was looking to fix up the crawl space before the home was sold. They specifically wanted to address moisture and humidity. Our System Design Specialist was able to come up with a solution that the customer felt comfortable with.
The crew covered the dirt floor of the crawl space with drainage matting to create a thermal break in the crawl space and to also soften the ground to make crawling in the space easier. The dimpled surface of the Drainage Matting encourages water out of the crawl space. To manage humidity, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to keep the air moisture free.
This homeowner was happy with the job and that we were able to work within her needed timeline!

The main issue with dirt crawl spaces is the moisture from the dirt beneath the home. Whether your crawl space suffers from groundwater leakage or not, the earth is damp. The natural airflow in a house is from bottom to top. This sucks the moist air, and everything in it, up into the living areas of the home. A damp environment is very unhealthy, destructive, and can lead to wood rot, mold growth, and poor indoor air quality.
