Central Arkansas residents joined thousands of others and contacted CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas about encapsulating their crawl space. One of our Design Specialist visited with the homeowner about their concerns and inspected the crawl space. He provided them with a detailed estimate to repair their crawl space and address their concerns. They approved the solution, and the work was scheduled.

The crew started by prepping and grading the crawl space. This includes removing old insulation and directing any water flow to the lowest point in the crawl space, which is where the SmartSump sump pump was then installed. A drainage line was run so the water would be pumped out and away from the home.

The crew then installed SilverGlo Insulation Panels, insulating the crawl space from outside air. Our dimpled Drainage Matting allows water to flow beneath it without puddling and provides a thermal break from the ground. The CleanSpace Liner is installed throughout the crawl space, creating a bright white area that isolated the home from the earth. The addition of the Energy Star rated SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier removes moisture from the air, moving dry air around at a rate of 300 cubic feet per minute.

Drainage Matting is a great way to keep the moisture leaves in your crawlspace down. It typically goes under the CleanSpace liner, However, as you see in this picture it could be used by its self. The dimples allow better conductivity for water to get to the perimeter drainage or sump pump located in the lowest spot of the crawlspace. The silver beam and steel pole you see in the middle of the picture is our SmartJack.  The SmartJack is a supplemental support system for crawl space applications. The SmartJack effectively supports sagging beams and floor joists.
