Client requested our service to help them create a clean, dry crawl space, where they had been having some moisture problems. For this space, we installed a complete encapsulation system. We removed all debris in the space, then placed down our Drainage Matting and topped that with our CleanSpace 20 mil liner. To finish sealing the home from outside moisture, we placed vent covers and replaced the crawl space access door with one of our EverLast airtight doors. Finally, we placed a SaniDry Sonoma dehumidifier in the area to bring the humidity under control in the space.
This crawl space is now a much cleaner, drier, and healthier space for this client's home and family.
Cherokee Village homeowners had a large crawl space they wanted to be able to use, but the dirty smell and mud prevented it. They called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas and after a visit with Craigen, decided to encapsulate their crawl space. The space is now usable without the dirty smell and mud!
New homeowners in Cherokee Village called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas with concerns about moisture in their crawl space and how cold their new home was during winter. Jack came out to complete their free crawl space inspection and was able to provide them with a solution. This home needed the crawl space insulated and protected from moisture.
Zachary, Jordan, and their team began by grading the crawl space, then they sealed the vents using graphite infused SilverGlo VentSeals. The piers were wrapped with Wallie, a 12-mil thick liner designed for masonry, reducing humidity in the air by eliminating condensation on the masonry. Our Drainage Matting created a drainage space under the CleanSpace Liner and provided a thermal barrier, puncture resistance, and durability. The CleanSpace Liner was installed, completely isolating the home from the earth, and creating a bright environment. The addition of the Energy Star rated SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier and the custom cut EverLast Door made this encapsulation complete. The source of moisture in the crawl space is eliminated, it is insulated, and the homeowners can now enjoy a comfortable, clean, healthy home.
The CleanSpace liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. The liner is a heavy 20 mils thick material similar to a pool liner. It is manufactured in 7 layers a blend of high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, and two layers and white on the other. The bright white finished side really brightens a crawl space with the available lighting and allows you to easily see that your crawl space is free of mold, insects, and dirt. The CleanSpace liner is manufactured with an antimicrobial additive called UltraFresh- molded right into the material.
Part of keeping your crawl space dry involves a sump pump. The state-of-the-art SmartSump is designed just for crawl spaces. The liner and lid are designed to form a tight seal around the CleanSpace liner. Since you don't go into your crawl space often, you need to know if there is a plumbing leak. The SmartSump has a unique lid design so water from a plumbing leak fills an alarm pocket on the lid first, sounding a WaterWatch alarm. From there, the water flows down a special airtight floor drain that lets water down, but damp air cannot come up into your crawl space. The alarm also alerts you to pump or power failures.
