Solution
Having water issues in your basement or crawl space is never an ideal situation. Water issues can cause bacteria and mold to build and even though it's under your house, it can seep up into your living room; where you would be force to breathe in toxins. When our system design specialist arrived to Steve's house, they had to develop a plan on making sure Steve and his family were well protected. The system specialist decided to go with our SmartSump Pump, UltraSump Pump and our IceGuard to prevent mold from coming back.
The Smart Sump is designed just for crawl spaces. The liner and lid are designed to form a tight seal around the CleanSpace liner. The SmartSump has a unique lid design so water from plumbing leak fills n alarm pocket on the lid first, sounding a Water Watch alarm. From there, the water flows down a special airtight floor drain that lets water down, but damp air cannot come up into your crawl space. The alarm also alerts you to pump or power failures. Which brings me to the next product, which is the UltraSump. We recommend a back- up system. The UltraSump is a battery back up system that will turn on automatically if the primary pump fails to operate. The UltraSump includes a second DC operated pump, a second automatic switching system, a smart charging system, and a high quality 120 amp battery.
The last thing this homeowner installed was the IceGuard- The IceGuard system allows water to escape from a sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow , the water can escape, allowing your sump pump to keep your basement dry. When the discharge pipe thaws, the water will automatically run along its normal route and no water will escape from the IceGuard
