When our System Design Specialist arrived it was discovered that that damage was actually worse then what the homeowner suspected. The homeowner had severe water damage, really nasty mold growing and the foundation was starting to sag. Jack our System Design Specialist decided it was necessary to use the following products to solve this issue. (1) SmartSump (2) IceGuard (3) CleanSpace (4) SmartJack. 

Our Crews start by installing our SmartSump- They do this by creating a hole in the floor, at the lowest possible elevation in the crawlspace approximately 21" in diameter and excavate down 21" from the floor surface. Set the liner in the hole with the lid approximately 1/4" below the surface of the crawlspace and backfill with clean stone. Install the pump; check valve and section of 1-1/2" PVC discharge pipe that extends above the floor. With the Cleanspace cut approximately 2" inside the liner base all the way around the diameter place the 2-piece lid around the discharge pipe and pull the electrical cord through the other opening in the top and then with the CLeanspace sandwiched between the base and sump lid, bolt the lid into place. Install airtight grommets and alarm. Mount Cord Captain to the 1 1/2" discharge line using supplied pope clamp for wire management. 

After installing the SmartSump the crew will begin to install our IceGuard- to Install the Iceguard  A 1/2" 90-degree street fitting is installed at the end of the pipe penetration and glued to the Iceguard using PVC glue and cleaning solvent. Iceguard can be used with a 3" or 4" discharge line buried a minimum of 4" under the soil. The length of the 3" or 4" discharge is determined by the topography of the yard. 

After installing this- the only thing we have left is our CleanSpace liner and our SmartJack- The Cleanspace liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. It is a white/blue seven-layer reinforced laminate containing no adhesives. The outer layer consists of high strength polyurethane film manufactured using virgin grade resins and containing UVI and thermal stabilizers. Cleanspace is reinforced with two separate plies of a 900 denier polyurethane reinforcement laid in a diagonal pattern space 3/8" apart with an additional machine direction polyester every 3" across the width. 

Finally, the last thing to install to complete this job is our SmartJacks- is a supplemental support system for crawl space applications. The SmartJack effectively supports sagging beams and floor joists caused by the length of span greater than the spanning capability of the members. Floor load added after construction, exceeding design values and weakening of members over time due to high moisture and rot.
