This customer called us saying that the termite company that had recently been under his home noted fungus growing on the wood piers. When Justin, one of our salesmen, got under the home he saw the mold and fungus that was beginning to grow on the wood piers and on their foundation walls.
Our team had to do some work to even out the crawl space so the water would drain properly from it. They graded out dirt and removed a number of rocks from under the home. The team also had to remove fallen insulation that was laying on the crawl space floor. Once the crawl space was prepped for work, we installed drainage matting over the floor of the crawl space. This product is to help the water drain out of the crawl space. Over the drainage matting we installed CleanSpace, this is a vapor barrier that does not let the moisture and humidity escape. We also wrapped the piers under the home with clean space to stop the growth of the fungus and mold. We also installed a condensate pump to drain the water out of the crawl space.
The customer also had a humidity problem, we installed a Sedona-SaniDry to solve this problem. The Sedona-SaniDry is the most energy efficient dehumidifier on the market and we are proud to install it. To finish we installed CleanSpace vent covers so moisture and outside humidity would not have a chance to enter the crawl space. We also installed an EverLast crawl space door, we did this because the old door was a deteriorating wood door that did not have a good seal on the crawl space like was needed. The EverLast door creates a seal, so the outside humidity and moisture does not have a chance to get in.
