Job Stories From Garland County, AR
Sagging Floor in Hot Springs National Park, AR

This customer called us explaining that they had a moisture problem under their home. They had tried other methods, but nothing was working for them. Justin went under the home to inspect it and found that there was water sitting in the crawl space, and it had affected the support beams under the home.

The beams were starting to sag due to the moisture that they had been exposed to for so long. To solve the problem the production crew worked to fix the beam and to fix the support problem they installed SmartJacks. These are steel piers that we use to hold up the foundation that has been affected by any moisture. The problem under this home was so serious they needed seven of them. The crew also had to grade out the floor so there were no pockets for the water to sit in under the home. They also installed drainage matting to create small tunnels for the water to travel out.

Standing Water in Hot Springs Village Arkansas Basement

This home had water standing in the basement, which made the basement difficult to use for storage. To get the water out of the basement the system design specialist created a plan to install a number of products that would dry out the basement. The crew installed WaterGuard to lead water to the SuperSump and out of the basement. The crew installed two SuperSumps, these are specially designed for basements. To go with the SuperSumps the crew installed two UltraSump Battery Backups. These ensure that the sumps with continue to work even in the case of a power outage.

Wet Basement in Hot Springs Village, AR

During heavy rains water would infiltrate the basement of this home. The homeowners had some type of sump pumps installed, but they were not working. The system design specialist inspected the sump pumps and they were not the correct type of sump pump and needed to be removed from the basement.

To fix the problems that the home owner was having, the crew installed WaterGuard, which is a basement drainage system to capture water that leaks through the walls and floor joist. A CleanSpace Wall System was also installed to capture to all water seepage and leaks. They also installed a SuperSump, a special basement sump pump that pumps the water out of the basement. To assist the SuperSump an UltraSump was installed, this is a battery backup for the sump. If there is ever a storm that causes the power to go out the sump will continue working to pump the water out.

Crawl Space Restored in Hot Springs Village, AR

This homeowner was interested in encapsulating their crawl space because they knew there was nothing down there but had never been underneath the home to see the damage. Under this home there was the beginning signs of mold and mildew growth on the support beams. The System Design Specialist explained to the homeowner that the best step to take would to be to encapsulate the crawl space to eliminate any chance of the mold and mildew from grown and spreading.

The crew removed fallen insulation from under the home and graded out the floor. They then installed Drainage Matting, which creates small tunnels for the water to flow through and not sit in holes in the crawl space. On top of the drainage matting Clean Space was installed, this locks out the moisture, prohibiting any chance that mold has to grow under the home. A SaniDry Sedona was also installed under the home to control the relative humidity level. A SmartSump was installed under the home to remove any water that may enter the home. This homeowner is now enjoying a healthier home from the ground up!

High Humidity Levels,Mountain Pine Ar

Homeowner Wendy was experiencing high levels of humidity in her crawl space, which was affecting the temperature inside her house. She called the experts at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas to assist her needs. One of the products we use to lower humidity levels is our CleanSpace Liner.

The CleanSpace Liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. This dramatically reduces the humidity levels in the air which when combined with sealing outside air and dehumidification, will eliminate mold growth and rot from any crawl space.

The liner is installed by carefully cutting and installed in sections. Small holes will be drilled into the crawl space walls approximately 6" below the wood sill plate and every 3" along the wall. Nylon fasteners are installed to permanently secure the CleanSpace liner to the wall. The top edge of the liner is sealed to the walls with a polyurethane sealant. All seams are sealed with special 4" wide sealing tape and/or sealant. The CleanSpace liner is also sealed around another object, such as pipes columns and piers with any combination of sealant or concrete.

Water in CrawlSpace, Royal Ar

Homeowner Patrica V noticed that she had mold growing in her crawl space. Patrica turned to the experts here at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas to get a free inspection. When we arrived in Partica we installed the following products to assist her mold needs. We installed our SmartSump, CleanSpace Liner, and our SaniDry Sedona. All these products are installed by trained professionals and can be very complex when it comes to installing.

Our SmartSump is installed by creating a hole in the floor, at the lowest possible elevation in the crawlspace approximately 21" in diameter and excavated down 21" from the floor surface. Set the liner in the hole with the lid approximately 1/4" below the surface of the crawlspace and backfilled with clean stone. Install the pump; check valve and section of 1-1/2" PVC discharge pipe that extends above the floor. With the Cleanspace cut approximately 2" inside the liner base all the way around the diameter place the 2- piece lid around the discharge pipe and pull the electrical cord through the other opening in the top and then with the cleanspace sandwiched between the base and sump lid, bolt the lid into place. Install airtight grommets and alarm. MountCord Captain to the 1 1/2' discharge line using supplied pipe clamp for wire management, hang system service envelope using 8' wire tie supplied and fill out all information on labels.

Following these steps exactly our professionals are able to properly install our SmartSump and keep your crawlspace free from any water!

Vapor Barrier, Hot Springs National Park, Ar

Homeowner Kemp S needed professional help for his crawl space. Kemp was using this property in Hot Springs for a rental, so not only was he frustrated that it would flood every time it rained. His tenants were demanding that he fix the issues because it was unfit to live in those conditions. It's true having water in your dirty crawl space can be detrimental to your health.  Mold spores, odors, humidity, and critters create a very unhealthy environment for people. Many people are allergic to these things, and experience a host of symptoms and don't realize that their dirt crawl space is affecting their health. When experts arrived we needed to develop a plan and install it quickly. Our plan was to install our CleanSpace Liner and drainage matting as well as our SaniDry Sedona.

Our crews install our CleanSpace Liner by doing the following- the liner is carefully cut and installed in sections. The CleanSpace liner is also sealed around other objects, such as pipes, columns, and piers with any combination of sealant or concrete.

Mold-X/ CleanSpace/ SaniDry Sedona in Pearcy, AR

One of the best ways to get rid of mold in your crawl space is to use our Mold X Neutralizer. Mold X Neutralizer provides an effective tool for cleaning and treatment of mold-contaminated building surfaces. Mold X is sprayed on surfaces as a one stage process. Mold X neutralizer has proven to be one of the most effective and least expensive treatments of its kind on the market today, providing an intelligent, proactive answer at a fraction of building material replacement cost. Mold X can be used to neutralize mold on surfaces including basement or crawl space walls, floor joist, subfloors. While mold x will neutralize mold at the time of application, it will not remove the neutralized mold which may still be visible.

Our CleanSpace liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. This dramatically reduces the humidity levels in the air which, when combined with sealing outside air and dehumidification, will eliminate mold growth and rot from the crawl space.

The last thing we used for this house is our SaniDry Sedona dehumidification- The Sedona is "The most effective and energy-efficient flow through dehumidifier in the world".

The basement or crawl space is part of the inside of a house as a whole. If there is high humidity and musty odors downstairs, it will affect the upstairs environment. Therefore, by drying your basement or crawl space, the SainDry Sedona will help make your whole home drier and healthier!

1) Drains automatically-- no buckets to empty

2) Small size fits in crawl spaces and takes up minimal space in basements

3) Energy Star rated. Water (colored for visibility) removed by standard household dehumidifier vs SaniDry Sedona for same electricity cost

4) Fully deductible so it does not have to be located in the space you are drying

5) Elegant high-performance design, inside and out!

6) Simple automatic controls. Set it and forget it!

7) Convenient handles and lightweight make Sedona easy to move around. The cabinet is not spray painted, but powder coated for scratch resistance.

8) Duet filter removes mold spores, dust mite droppings, dust, and other particulates from your air with large MERV 8 filter with carbon for odor reduction.

Wet Crawl Space in Hot Springs National Park, AR

This client called in stating that she had a serious moisture problem, so she wanted a professional from Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas to come inspect the area and help resolve her issues. The System Design Specialist determined that the best remedy would be a full CleanSpace Encapsulation System.

Our crew began by removing and disposing of all the debris in the space, then laid down a dimpled Drainage Matting over the floor of the crawlspace, which will help control moisture coming up from the dirt floor. Over the top, our 20-mil CleanSpace liner was laid down seamlessly throughout the crawl space and mechanically fastened to the walls. Finally, the crew installed our SaniDry dehumidifying system, which will keep the home at or below 55% relative humidity.

The client's home is on a hill, and they were really struggling with dampness and knew they needed a new vapor barrier, at a minimum. Our system design specialist, Jack knew this home would need a full encapsulation.

Jesse and his crew cleaned out all of the old debris and insulation, then graded and prepped the area. Next, they installed our drainage matting under our thick, 20-mil CleanSpace liner. With this space, the crew also needed to re-insulate the area with our SilverGlo wall insulation.  They completed the job by installing the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep that relative humidity down to a recommended 55% or lower.

Crawl Space Support Solutions

The support structures of your home are in your crawl space. We often don't think about them until we notice a problem. In this home in White Hall, the homeowner knew he needed additional support under his home, so he called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas for a free crawl space inspection. Craigen inspected the crawl space and reported his findings to the homeowner.

In order to make the home structurally secure, 6x6 wooden beams would need to be installed, supported by our SmartJack support system. Our 6x6 wooden beams are 3 2x6 nailed together for maximum support, providing your home with stability for years to come. These beams run the entire width of the home. SmartJacks are high-capacity adjustable steel piers supporting the beams of your home. They can help correct sagging floors, sinking girders, and settling piers. Moisture can cause supports to weaken, so we recommend a full CleanSpace Encapsulation System.

Additional support with a CleanSpace Encapsulation System can keep your home dry, healthy, and structurally sound for years.

Jessieville Crawl Space Encapsulation

This home in Jessieville sat on a wet crawl space and it was showing up inside the home. Doors weren't closing, floors were sloping, and there was an unpleasant odor in the home. A CleanSpace Encapsulation System would solve all those problems, and make the whole home cleaner, drier, and healthier! Call CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas today!

Lonsdale Encapsulation

This home had been encapsulated with us, but the homeowners wanted to now add structural support to eliminate the cracks from the home settling. Our team installed metal beams and our adjustable SmartJacks to make the home more structurally sound.
