Camden homeowners called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas for help. The new floors they had installed in their home were starting to buckle, and while the gravel in the crawl space was very dry, there was condensation on the floor joists and subfloor. One of our Design Specialists came out to inspect their crawl space and offer a solution. 

Moisture in the air from the ground is absorbed by the wood support structures in your home. The wood in your crawl space will absorb moisture based on relative humidity, meaning if there is a lot of humidity, the wood will absorb a lot of moisture. This makes the wood into a perfect breeding ground for mold and eventually, rot. 

The solution was to dehumidify the air and insulate the crawl space. Our crews installed SilverGlo Wall Panels and Vent Seals to insulate the crawl space from outside air. Our dimpled Drainage Matting covered the ground to provide a thermal break and puncture resistance. The CleanSpace Liner isolated the home from the earth, reducing overall humidity, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier pulled residual moisture out of the air, and moved the dry air around at a rate of 300 cubic feet per minute, helping dry out the building materials. The EverLast Door was custom fit to the crawl space entry and will last for years to come.

While these homeowners knew to look for moisture in the crawl space, they needed expert help to dry it out. We want to make every home in Arkansas cleaner, drier, and healthier; one crawl space at a time.

The Natural airflow in a house is from bottom to top. This sucks the moist air and everything in it up into the living areas of the home. Mold spores, odors, humidity, and critters create a very unhealthy environment for people. Many people are allergic to these things and experience a host of symptoms and don't realize that their dirt crawl space is affecting their health! Dirt crawl spaces do not have to be necessarily wet or flooded to be extremely unhealthy. A homeowner in Camden Ar called the experts at Crawl Space Solution of Arkansas, stating that her floors were beginning to sag and she notices that her house was having a musty odor. When out system Design Specialist arrived at her house it was determined that we needed to install a CleanSpace Vapor barrier around her Crawl Space.

The CleanSpace Liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. This dramatically reduces the humidity levels in the air. The CleanSpace Liner is carefully cut and installed in sections. Small holes will be drilled into the crawl space walls approximately 6" below the wood sill plate and every 3' along the wall. Nylon fasteners are installed to permanently secure the CleanSpace liner to the wall. The top edge of the liner is sealed to the walls with a polyurethane sealant. All seams are sealed with special 4" wide sealing tape and /or sealant. The CleanSpace liner is also sealed around other objects, such as pipes, columns, and piers with any combination of a sealant of concrete! 

After installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier, this homeowner now has a healthier house!
