Little Rock Vapor Barrier
Challenge
A Little Rock homeowner had a plumbing leak in her crawl space. After having the leak repaired, she began noticing weak spots in her floors. She decided to call CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas for help. Michael, one of our Design Specialists, visited with her about her concerns and inspected the crawl space. He suggested the EverLast Access Door, Mold-X2, Drainage Matting, SilverGlo, and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.
Solution
Daniel and his team began by treating affected areas of the crawl space with Mold-X2 to remove mold growth. They prepped and graded the crawl space and installed SilverGlo Insulation Panels and Vent Seals to keep outside air from entering the crawl space. This will help keep heating and cooling costs down. The team installed the dimpled Drainage Matting as a thermal break and vapor barrier, and installed the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep humidity below 60%. They carefully measured and cut the EverLast Access Door to securely cover the entrance to the crawl space, helping to keep moisture out. The homeowner is very happy with the end result and loves having a cleaner, drier, healthier home!
