Crawl Space Encapsulation in Benton
Challenge
These homeowners in Benton had installed Visqueen as a vapor barrier and installed 2 dehumidifiers, but still felt they were losing the war against moisture in their crawl space. They called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas and John T., one of our Design Specialists, inspected their crawl space. After visiting with the homeowners, John suggested a complete CleanSpace Encapsulation to eliminate moisture and keep the whole home cleaner and healthier.
Solution
Will and his crew began by removing debris and grading the crawl space. They treated mold with our Mold-X2 stain remover, eliminating mold growth. The floor joists and part of the main beam were replaced, and the piers were shimmed to provide more even support. SilverGlo Insulation Panels and Vent Seals were installed to keep outside air out of the crawl space. Our dimpled Drainage Matting and CleanSpace Liner were installed and secured to the walls and floors of the crawl space, isolating the home from the earth.
