North Little Rock Crawl Space Encapsulation

Challenge

When a homeowner in North Little Rock noticed moisture in the crawl space of his newly purchased home, he called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas. Our Design Specialist, Michael, suggested CleanSpace, the SaniDry Sedona, Mold-X2, and SilverGlo Insulation Panels, and the homeowner followed his suggestions.

Solution

Daniel and his team prepped and graded the crawl space, removing debris and smoothing out the surface of the crawl space. The team treated the crawl space with Mold-X2 to render any mold inactive and discourage new mold growth. After allowing the chemical to dissipate, they installed the Metal Hinged and Lockable Crawl Space Door, and inside they wrapped the piers with our 12-mil thick Wallie to prevent moisture from entering through the porous concrete. SilverGlo Insulation Panels and Vent Seals were installed to prevent outside air from entering the crawl space, then the dimpled Drainage Matting was secured to the walls and floor of the crawl space, providing a thermal break and a layer of durability. The CleanSpace Liner was installed directly above the Drainage Matting, completely isolating the home from the earth, then the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was brought in and set to keep humidity below 60%.
