Crawl Space Moisture Control in Benton
Challenge
Moisture in the crawl space was having a negative impact on this Benton home. The floors were starting to bow and the smells coming from the crawl space were unpleasant. Solution
Daniel and his team began by grading and prepping the crawl space, removing debris and large rocks. They dug a hole in the lowest point of the crawl space to install the TripleSafe Sump Pump with UltraSump and the Battery Back-up system. Next, a trench was dug along the crawl space wall, below the footer for the Ez Flow Drainage System. Ez Flow collects water from outside, before it enters the crawl space, and drains it into the TripleSafe Sump Pump where it is pumped outside the home. The piers were wrapped with Wallie, a 12-mil thick liner designed for porous masonry, and the vents were sealed with SilverGlo Vents Seals, preventing outside air from entering the crawl space. The dimpled Drainage Matting acts as a thermal break and provides a layer of durability below the CleanSpace Liner, which is secured in place in the crawl space.
