Rogers Crawl Space Moisture Control

Challenge

This Rogers resident called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas for help with his crawl space. He found standing water under his home after a rain and wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. Our Design Specialist, Jack, went to inspect the crawl space and speak to the homeowner about his concerns. Afterwards, the homeowner decided on our Drainage Matting, SmartSump, and the Ez Flow Drainage System. 

Solution

Will and his team began by grading and prepping the surface of the crawl space. They then dug a hole in the lowest point of the crawl space to install the SmartSump Sump Pump. This pumping system features the WaterWatch Alarm on the lid to alert the homeowner to water intrusion in his crawl space. The team then dug a trench along the walls of the crawl space and below the footers to install the Ez Flow Drainage System. Ez Flow is a Drainage System comprised of a 3" slotted pipe surrounded by 4" expanded polystyrene aggregate enclosed in a mesh material to help keep debris out of the pipe. Water flows into Ez Flow through the slots and is carried into the SmartSump Sump Pump, where it is pumped out of and away from the home through IceGuard and the LawnScape Outlet. IceGuard prevents water from backing up into the crawl space should the drainage line become frozen or clogged further down. The LawnScape Outlet keeps the lawn looking beautiful while allowing water to drain.
