Little Rock Crawl Space Sealing

Challenge

A homeowner in Little Rock was concerned about humidity, standing water, and pests in his crawl space. He called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas for an inspection and estimate. Craigen met with him and inspected the crawl space, taking pictures throughout to show the homeowner what he found. The homeowner chose to have a full encapsulation with CleanSpace, SmartSump, and the SaniDry Sedona to keep his crawl space dry and clean.

Solution

Bryan and his team graded and prepped the crawl space, then dug a hole in the lowest point of the crawl space for the SmartSump Sump Pump and UltraSump with battery back-up. This combination ensures your home is protected from water, even if the power goes out. The team ran a drainage line to the outside of the home, so water will drain away from the crawl space. Inside, the vents were sealed with SilverGlo Vent Seals and the masonry piers were wrapped with Wallie to prevent condensation. The walls of the crawl space were insulated with SilverGlo Insulation Panels, allowing the floor joist insulation to be removed. The dimpled Drainage Matting was installed on the graded surface of the crawl space floor, and the CleanSpace Liner was attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space. Securing CleanSpace to the walls and floor of the crawl space ensures it will not bunch and tear. This isolates the home from the earth and preventing moisture and mold in the crawl space. The block walls were capped with our L-shaped WallCaps, preventing moisture from entering through the hollow blocks, and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was set up to remove humidity from the air and move 300 cubic feet of dry air around the crawl space every minute.
