Crawl Space Encapsulation in McCrory

Challenge

A homeowner in McCrory contacted CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas for help when she suspected moisture in her crawl space. Our Design Specialist, Michael, inspected the crawl space and suggested a CleanSpace Encapsulation System to eliminate moisture and humidity. 

Solution

Zachary and his team began by treating the crawl space with Mold-X2 to remove mold. They then dug a hole in the lowest spot in the crawl space to install the TripleSafe Sump Pump. A drain line was run to outside the home, where IceGuard was installed to allow water to escape should the drain line freeze or become blocked in some way on its way to LawnScape, where all water from the TripleSafe would be discharged away from the home.

Back inside the crawl space, Ez Flow was installed in a trench dug below the footers of the home along the walls of the crawl space, where it collects ground water to be drained into the TripleSafe. The team then wrapped the piers with Wallie to prevent condensation from forming on the porous concrete. SilverGlo Insulation Panels were installed on the walls and rim joists, and vents were sealed with SilverGlo Vent Seals. The dimpled Drainage Matting was installed on the dirt floor of the crawl space as a thermal break, and the CleanSpace Liner was installed, isolating the home from the earth and making the crawl space brighter and cleaner. The energy-star rated SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier keeps the humidity below 55% and moves up to 300 cubic feet of dry air around the crawl space every minute.
