Benton Vapor Barrier Installation

Challenge

A recent home buyer in Benton discovered moisture problems in her crawl space. Everything had passed inspection, but the moisture was causing problems with the insulation. When she called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Michael, out to visit with her and inspect her crawl space. After his inspection, the homeowner chose our dimpled Drainage Matting and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep her crawl space and home cleaner and drier.

Solution

James and his team began by removing debris, then grading and prepping the crawl space. This included removing larger rocks to provide a more even surface. They installed the dimpled Drainage Matting and secured it in place on the floor of the crawl space. The Drainage Matting acts as a thermal break and prevents moisture from entering the crawl space from the ground. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity below 55% and ducted to other areas of the crawl space.
