Crawl Space Moisture Control in Flippin
Challenge
A Flippin homeowner had dealt with standing water in his crawl space, but he then noticed a musty smell from the moisture left behind. He called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas and our Design Specialist, Michael, went to inspect the crawl space. He then sat down with the homeowners and showed them how they could make their crawl space, and their home, drier and healthier.
Solution
Will and his team began by grading and prepping the crawl space. They removed debris and larger rocks; and evened out the floor of the crawl space. They dug a hole in the lowest part of the crawl space to install the TripleSafe Sump Pump and ran the drainage line out of the crawl space and away from the home. The three pumps in the TripleSafe will protect the homeowner from pump failure, heavy rains, and power failures. Around the walls of the crawl space, the team dug a trench to just below the footers for the Ez Flow Drainage System. Ez Flow will capture water before it enters the crawl space and drain in directly into the TripleSafe Sump Pump. The team installed SmartJacks along the floor joists that required additional supports, and they installed SilverGlo Seals and insulated the rim joists and the walls with SilverGlo Insulation Panels. The piers were wrapped with Wallie to prevent condensation. The CleanSpace Liner was installed to isolate the home from the earth, preventing moisture from entering the crawl space and the Large Metal Hinged Lockable Crawl Space Door was the final step.
