Magnolia Crawl Space Encapsulation

Challenge

A homeowner in Magnolia was concerned with the amount of water under his home. Some work had been done on the road in front of his home and he was getting more and more water in his crawl space. Michael, one of our Design Specialists, drove down to meet with him and inspect the wet crawl space. Michael designed a solution to remove the water from the crawl space and help keep it dry.

Solution

Bryan and his team began by removing debris and grading the crawl space. They dug a hole at the lowest point of the crawl space to install the TripleSafe Sump Pump, then dug a trench below the footers of the walls in the crawl space. The Ez Flow Drainage System was installed in this trench, collecting water all around the crawl space and carrying it to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which drains the water through IceGuard away from the home and into the yard. 

The next step was to install Vent Seals, wrap the piers with Wallie, and install the custom cut EverLast Door. These steps seal the crawl space from outside air. Installing our dimpled Drainage Matting and CleanSpace Liner isolates the home from the earth and provides a thermal break. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier keeps the humidity level below 60%, discouraging mold growth and rot.
