Dover Crawl Space Encapsulation
Challenge
These homeowners called in with major concerns of mold and moisture in their crawl space. Some options had been tried, but they were looking for a better solution. Our Design Specialist, Curtis Harrison, spoke with the homeowners to see what their needs and wants were for their crawl space. After this discussion, he thoroughly inspected the space, designed a system that not only met the homeowners wants, but also took care of the crawl spaces needs.
Solution
The installation team removed the insulation from the crawl space, prepped the area, and sprayed our Mold X2 treatment. This treatment is designed to clean and prevent mold, mildew, algae, and bacteria growth on surfaces. They then added our EZ Flow Drainage System and SmartSump Sump Pump. From there, they began to fully encapsulate the crawl space. Jordan and his crew installed our CleanSpace Liner on top of our Drainage Matting. They spent time sealing off all vents and wrapping all piers with our Wallie liner as well. Lastly, they installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the relative humidity in the space down so mold will not grow, and rot cannot set in.
