Wet Crawl Space in Conway

Challenge

A wet crawl space had these homeowners very concerned about the damage it was doing to their home. They had treated multiple times for mold and they now suspected support structures needed to be repaired. John, one of our Design Specialists, went over to inspect the crawl space and visit with the homeowners about their concerns. They were very excited to find out we could repair their crawl space and make their whole home cleaner, drier, and healthier!

Solution

Bryan and his installation team began by installing new floor joists to help support the home.  Next, they installed the SmartSump Sump Pump in the lowest part of the crawl space. Along the walls of the crawl space, they dug a trench and installed our Ez Flow Drainage System. This system collects water before it can enter the crawl space and drains it directly into the SmartSump, where it is discharged outside and away from the home. The vents were sealed with SilverGlo Vent Seals, and the EverLast Doors were custom cut on site to perfectly cover all entries to the crawl space. The team then graded the crawl space floor to direct any ground water to flow towards the Ez Flow Drainage System and the SmartSump. The dimpled Drainage Matting they installed on the graded surface provides a thermal break; and the CleanSpace Liner secured in place above the Drainage Matting isolates the home from the earth. The addition of the SaniDry Sedona makes this crawl space encapsulation complete. It can remove up to 100 pints of water from the air per day and moves dry air around the crawl space at a rate of 300 cubic feet per minute.
