Wet Crawl Space in Rogers

Challenge

This homeowner in Rogers was having some trouble with water under her home. Standing water in a crawl space can be damaging to the support structures of the home and cause some health concerns for the family.

Solution

After inspecting the crawl space, our Design Specialist, Jack, was able to put her concerns to rest with a plan to eliminate the water.

Jason and his installation crew installed the SmartSump Sump Pump with UltraSump battery backup in the lowest point of the crawl space. They ran a discharge line out of the crawl space and away from the home. Back in the crawl space, a trench was dug just below the footers all around the walls of the crawl space and the Ez Flow Drainage System was installed to collect water run-off and drain it directly into the SmartSump. The crew installed rim joist insulation and SilverGlo Insulation Panels to help seal the crawl space from outside air, and the dimpled Drainage Matting was installed over the graded dirt floor. The Drainage Matting acts as a thermal break and directs any water flowing beneath it towards the Ez Flow Drainage System. The SaniDry XP Dehumidifier was installed to cleanse and dehumidify the air in the crawl space. The homeowner loves her drier, cleaner, and healthier home!
