Cherokee Village Crawl Space Encapsulation

Challenge

This homeowner in Cherokee Village called ready to make a change. The large crawl space under his home was completely unusable and he didn't care for the musty dirt smell that was lingering throughout his home. Our Design Specialist, Craigen, inspected the crawl space and presented him with a solution that would make the whole house smell better and make his crawl space usable.

Solution

Our installation crew, led by Bryan, went to work making this crawl space a CleanSpace. They began by grading and prepping the crawl space, evening out the hills and valleys that hold water. SilverGlo Insulation Panels and Vent Seals were installed to prevent outside air from entering the crawl space, insulating it against the weather. The concrete block wall was topped with our L-shaped WallCaps, preventing outside air from entering through the holes in the blocks. Piers were wrapped with Wallie, stopping the masonry from releasing condensation, and the CleanSpace Liner was sealed to the walls and floors to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently.
