White Hall Mold Concerns

Challenge

A resident of White Hall contacted Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas after noticing weak spots in the subfloor. He was also concerned about mold. Our Design Specialists inspected the crawl space and proposed a solution to these issues.

Solution

If the two main sources of moisture in your crawl space are the ground and outside air, it makes sense to eliminate those sources from the equation. A CleanSpace Encapsulation does just that. The SilverGlo Insulation Panels and Vent Seals insulate your crawl space walls from taking in air from outside, along with a custom cut EverLast Door. Drainage Matting adds durability and a thermal break, laying the ground work for the CleanSpace Liner. This bright white liner isolates the home from the earth and reduces humidity. A SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier will remove humidity from the air, keeping humidity below 55% and blowing 300 cubic feet of dry air through your crawl space every minute. In this crawl space, the moisture had already done some damage to the support structures of the home, so we installed a metal beam and SmartJacks for additional support where the floor was weakened.
