Solution

As we mentioned in another case study, the SmartSump with WaterWatch Alarm is designed for crawl spaces. It will let you know if there is water from a plumbing leak or if there has been a power outage. Jordan and his team installed the SmartSump Sump Pump, encapsulated the crawl space, and installed the IceGuard on the exterior of the home.

The IceGuard is made for areas that get below freezing during the winter months. Sump pumps drainage lines are outside the home and can freeze in winter. IceGuard allows water to escape if pipes freeze or become blocked for any reason. A blocked drain line can cause water to back-up into your crawl space, even if your sump pump is running as it should. 

IceGuard is a patented design providing an exit when pipes are blocked. Your sump pump pumps water to a drain line leading out of the crawl space. Once outside the crawl space, the drain line attaches to IceGuard, and the drain line continues to the LawnScape outlet. This is an underground downspout extension that moves the water away from your home while camouflaging the end of the pipe in your yard. When that drain line gets clogged, water can escape through IceGuard, preventing back flow into your crawl space.
