Challenge

If you are looking to buy a home, you will need to get a home inspection. These future homeowners had a home inspector come out and he found there was moisture and most likely mold in the crawl space. They wanted to get this taken care of as quickly as possible so they could begin moving in at closing. They told us they were looking for additional insulation, as well as drying out the crawl space.

Solution

Jack, one of our Design Specialists, arrived to speak with the homeowners and inspect the crawl space. Jack came up with a solution to their problems and laid out a detailed plan for their approval. 

For the additional insulation they were looking for, Zach and his team installed SilverGlo Insulation Panels throughout the crawl space.  SilverGlo Insulation Panels are a special graphite infused foam board. The graphite drives the insulation value of the foam up by approximately 24% over conventional foam by lowering its thermal conductivity. There is a reflective material laminated to one side to add heat reflecting capabilities. Adding insulation in combination with the Encapsulation System can significantly reduce your utility costs and decrease wear and tear on your heating/cooling system. The SilverGlo Insulation also covers the vents in your crawl space, preventing outside air from coming in, decreasing the amount of humidity coming in your crawl space. SilverGlo Insulation Panels are unique in that they can be cut to fit anywhere without losing any R Value.
