Challenge

This client called in concerned about moisture and hanging insulation in her crawl space. Our design specialist knew exactly what it would take to correct the moisture concerns and drew up the perfect plan for this homeowner. 

Solution

Jordan and his crew began by cleaning the space and removing all the old insulation and debris. Then they began installing drainage matting, which is great for crawl space drainage under our thick, 20-mil CleanSpace liner on concrete or dirt floors. The CleanSpace liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely. This dramatically reduces the humidity levels in the air, which when combined with sealing outside air and dehumidification, will eliminate mold growth and rot from the crawl space. Next, we sealed off any open vents with vent covers and installed an airtight  EverLast crawl space door. Finally, the crew installed a SaniDry dehumidifier to keep the entire space at or below 55% relative humidity.
