Dorothy C. called stating that her home was fairly new and they did not believe the vapor barrier that was installed was sufficient. She called in the experts at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas to assess how to get better moisture protection for her crawl space. Our System Design Specialist, Jack, got right to work designing a system specifically designed to solve Dorothy's moisture problems. 

Solution

The very first thing our crew knew needed to be done was to seal the space from outside air entering into the area. Most crawl spaces are vented to let moisture out, however the problem is that vents let in warm, humid air during the summer. This allows more humidity into the home, making the home harder to air condition. The next thing the crew did to solve this moisture problem was to install our thick, 20-mil CleanSpace liner with our dimpled drainage matting underneath, this isolates your home from the earth, reducing the amount of moisture and humidity that stays in the area. Finally, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which eliminates damp musty odors in your crawl space by drying and filtering the air! 

This space is a much drier, healthier space for Dorothy and her family.
