CleanSpace Encapsulation in Coal Hill, AR

Challenge

Ethan of Coal Hill, Arkansas, had ground water that would seep in whenever it rained. He had an old moisture barrier that just wasn't working anymore. He called Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas. Our System Design Specialist came out to design a solution based on Ethan's needs. He needed a solution that would provide a barrier against moisture, to keep his crawl space dry. 

Solution

First, to make sure all of the water was drained from the crawl space, a SmartSump sump pump system was installed. 

The SmartSump is made especially for crawl spaces. It has a unique lid design, so water from a plumbing leak fills an alarm pocket on the lid first, sounding a WaterWatch alarm that will let you know there is a plumbing leak. From there the water flows down a special air tight floor drain that will let the water down, but damp air cannot come up from the crawl space. 

A drainage matting was laid down on the crawl space floor and then our CleanSpace liner is placed on top. This is made from a 20-mil thick material that is similar to a pool liner. This helps to reduce humidity levels and keeps the crawl space looking brand new and clean. Lastly, the crew installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. This machine filtrates and dehumidifies the air. The system drains automatically to ensure maximum performance from his unit. 

All of these changes made the home much happier with his crawl space and it is a much cleaner, healthier environment for Ethan!
