Homeowner Ed W had Terminix install a few vents and a moisture barrier in his crawl space a few years ago. However, he felt the barrier didn't hold up to the levels of moisture he has in his crawl space. Ed finally called the leading experts at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas to get a free inspection. 

Solution

In order to solve Ed moisture problems in his crawl space, we installed three products: Drainage Matting, CleanSpace, and our SaniDry Sedona. These three products create the ultimate moisture barrier that moisture will not stand a chance. 

The first thing we lay down is our Drainage Matting. The Drainage Matting- is great for crawl space drainage under CleanSpace on concrete or dirt floors. The dimples allow better conductivity for water to get to the perimeter drainage or sump pump located in the lowest spot of the crawlspace. CleanSpace Drainage matting also softens the floor and increases durability.

Now our CleanSpace liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. The liner is a heavy 20 mil thick material similar to a pool liner. It is manufactured in 7 layers - a blend of high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, and two layers of polyester cord reinforcement. It is blue on one side and white on the other. The bright white finished side really brightens a crawl space with the available lighting and allows you to easily see that your crawl space is free of mold, insects, and dirt. 

The last thing we used was our SaniDry Sedona. The SaniDry Sedona eliminates damp, musty odors in your basement or crawlspace by drying and filtering the air! Mold and mildew are musty smelling fungi that thrive in moist conditions. Dust mite fecal matter is the #1 indoor allergen.
