Challenge

Homeowner Phillip S. had flood issues with his crawl space for years. Every time it rained, Phillip's crawl space would flood. Phillip tried everything he could think of to solve the problem, from sandbags to sealing cracks around the foundation of the house. However, nothing seemed to work. Finally, Phillip called the experts at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas for professional advice. 

Solution

The best solution for Phillip was to install the CleanSpace vapor barrier around the perimeter of the crawl space and the floor, install a drainage matting on the floor, and install a vent cover to keep out as much of the humid air as possible.

Our production team came out to install the products. The project began with installing the vent cover over the existing vent-hole, which would control the humid air coming through. The team then laid down a dimpled drainage matting over the floor of the crawl space, which would help control the moisture from the dirt floor. Over the top, the CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed. This barrier was laid seamlessly throughout the crawl space, then mechanically fastened to the walls to ensure stability.

Now, Phillip has a drier, less humid crawl space, which could now benefit the air condition in his home.
