Little Rock Wet Basement Repair
Challenge
A homeowner called with concerns about water in the basement when it rained. Our Design Specialist went out to visit with her and find out how we could help!
Solution
Water can enter a basement several different ways. The most common culprit is the three-piece foundation; footing, wall, and floor. A sealant on the concrete will help, but water will always follow the path of least resistance. Our WaterGuard installed around the perimeter of the basement walls will trap water as it seeps in from the ground outside. Doorways to the outside have our TrenchDrain installed to catch water before it flows freely into the basement. TrenchDrain drains directly into the WaterGuard Drainage System, which flows into the SuperSump Sump Pump. SuperSump is installed in the lowest point of the basement, and all water is pumped out through IceGuard. IceGuard allows water to escape and not backflow into the basement should the discharge line be frozen or blocked further down. The end of the discharge line is fitted with our LawnScape Outlet, a low profile discharge grate that blends into the lawn.
