Homeowner Rick M. called in saying he needs to waterproof his crawl space. He said that every time it rains his crawl space gets flooded. Rick called the experts here at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas to get his FREE inspection!
Solution
When our System Design Specialist arrived at Rick's house, he did a full inspection and determined the best solution to solve Rick's water problems. The Design Specialist decided to use the following, SmartSump, IceGuard, CleanSpace, and or SaniDry Sedona.
The SmartSump sump pump system is a combination of patented and custom components that make up a highly efficient and reliable water evacuation system for crawl space environments. The state-of -the- art SmartSump is designed just for crawl spaces. The liner and lid are designed to form a tight seal around the CleanSpace liner. The SmartSump has a unique lid design so water from a plumbing leak fills an alarm pocket on the lid first, sounding a WaterWatch alarm. From there, the water flows down a special airtight floor drain that lets water down, but damp air cannot come up into your crawl space. After installing the SmartSump the production crewthen began to install the CleanSpace Encapsulation System
The CleanSpace Encapsulation- The CleanSpace liner is carefully cut and installed in sections. Small holes will be drilled into the crawl space walls approximately 6" below the wood sill plate and every 3' along the wall. Nylon fasteners are installed to permanently secure the CleanSpace liner to the wall. The top edge of the liner is sealed to the walls with a polyurethane sealant. All seams are sealed with special 4" wide sealing tape and/or sealant. The CleanSpace liner also seals around other objects, such as pipes, columns, and piers.
The last thing the production crew installed was the SaniDry Sedona. The Sedona makes healthier air for the whole home. The most effective and energy-efficient flow through dehumidifiers in the world. The Sedona eliminates damp, musty odors in your basement or crawlspace by drying and filtering air!
Rick now lives in a drier, healthier house!!!
