Little Rock Crawl Space Encapsulation
Challenge
This Little Rock homeowner loved her neighborhood, but the rolling hills had caused a lot of moisture problems in her crawl space. She called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas for help. Our Design Specialist, Curtis, inspected her crawl space and suggested a full CleanSpace Encapsulation with the SmartSump Sump Pump and SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. After a visit with Justin, our Account Manager, she choose to follow Curtis' advice and encapsulate her crawl space.
Solution
Bryan and his team began by treating the crawl space with Mold-X2, a chemical that stops active mold growth on wood support structures. Debris and larger rocks were removed, and the dirt floor was evened out to prevent pooling. The team dug a trench along the outside walls of the crawl space to just below the footers to install the Ez Flow Drainage System. Ez Flow takes on water from the ground and deposits it in the SmartSump Sump Pump. The SmartSump is installed in the lowest point of the crawl space, pumping water out and away from the home. The piers were wrapped with our 12-mil thick Wallie to prevent condensation from forming on the porous concrete. The team installed our SilverGlo Insulation Panels and SilverGlo Vent Seals to keep unconditioned air out of the crawl space, helping keep heating and cooling costs down. Our dimpled Drainage Matting was installed on the dirt floor of the crawl space and topped with our bright white CleanSpace Liner. CleanSpace is secured to the walls and floor of the crawl space, isolating the home from the earth completely and permanently. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was added to remove moisture from the air and keep humidity below 60% to prevent mold and rot.
This homeowner is thrilled with her cleaner, drier, and healthier home!
