Fairfield Bay Crawl Space Moisture Control

Challenge

This homeowner called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas to help with his encapsulated crawl space. He had hired another company to do the work, but he wasn't pleased with the results. Our Design Specialist, Jack, went to visit with him and inspect the encapsulated crawl space. He found the liner had not been secured properly and standing water was becoming a problem.

Solution

Daniel and his crew prepped and graded the crawl space. They dug a hole in the lowest point of the crawl space to install the SmartSump Sump Pump. Next, they dug a trench from the SmartSump along the wall of the crawl space to just below the footer to install our Ez Flow Drainage System. Ez Flow collects water before it enters the crawl space and drains it into the SmartSump, where it is pumped away from the home through IceGuard and out the LawnScape Outlet. They wrapped the piers with Wallie, our 12-mil thick liner made for concrete piers and installed our CleanSpace Wall along the walls of the crawl space to prevent condensation from entering through the block walls. The dimpled Drainage Matting adds a layer of durability and a thermal break, then the CleanSpace Liner was installed and secured to the walls and floors of the CrawlSpace. The world's most powerful dehumidifier for its size, the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity below 60%.
