Hardy Crawl Space Encapsulation System
Challenge
This Hardy homeowner was concerned about the moisture and critters in his crawl space. He called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas for help. When his Design Specialist, Michael, arrived to complete the inspection, he found a crawl space in need of a full encapsulation. In addition to the moisture and pest issues, Michael found the floor joists would need to be replaced to make the home more structurally sound.
Solution
Daniel and his team began by removing debris and grading the crawl space. The insulation that had fallen from the floor joists needed to be removed, along with construction debris and larger rocks. The team then installed our SilverGlo Insulation Panels, SilverGlo Vent Seals, and rim joist insulation. The piers were wrapped with Wallie to prevent moisture from entering the crawl space through the porous concrete, and the floor joists were replaced to make the home more structurally sound. The crawl space was then encapsulated with CleanSpace, isolating the home from the earth completely and permanently. The installation crew cut an access hole and installed the metal hinged and lockable door for the crawl space, completing this encapsulation, and the homeowners are thrilled!
