Little Rock Crawl Space Encapsulation System
Challenge
This Little Rock homeowner was dealing with mold and rot from moisture in his crawl space. The structural issues being caused by the moisture were too much, so he called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas. Jack went to meet with him and inspect the crawl space to help get his crawl space dry and structurally sound. Jack found beams that needed to be repaired and a lot of moisture, so he suggested our CleanSpace Encapsulation System with floor joist repair and main beam replacement. Solution
James and his team got started by grading and prepping the crawl space, removing debris and large rocks. They installed a metal beam for additional support, and replaced floor joists to eliminate the rot. The team wrapped the piers with Wallie, our 12-mil thick liner to prevent condensation on the porous concrete. The crawl space vents were sealed with SilverGlo Vent Seals to prevent outside air from entering and the EverLast Door was custom cut on site to seal the opening of the crawl space. The dimpled Drainage Matting was installed, creating a thermal break and the home was isolated from the earth with our CleanSpace Liner. This liner is 20-mil thick and helps the owner see the crawl space is clear of mold and moisture. WallCaps were installed on top of the cinder block walls to prevent air and humidity from entering through them, and the SaniDry Sedona and SaniDry XP were installed to keep the air clean and the humidity below 55%.
