Wet Crawl Space in El Dorado, Arkansas

Challenge

This El Dorado homeowner had a vapor barrier installed, but then noticed moisture coming in under it.

Solution

He called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas and our Design Specialist, Jack, headed south to meet with him. Jack inspected the crawl space and explained why a vapor barrier isn't enough. They are thin, not secured to the walls, and can be easily moved or torn. Jack suggested a CleanSpace Encapsulation with EverLast Door and SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.

Our installation team removed the old vapor barrier then graded and prepped the crawl space. They wrapped the piers with 12-mil thick Wallie to prevent condensation from the porous concrete from entering the crawl space. Next, the dimpled Drainage Matting was installed on the dirt floor, providing durability and a thermal break. The CleanSpace Liner rests on the Drainage Matting and isolates the home from the earth.
