Crawl Space Encapsulation in Conway

Challenge

This Conway resident reached out to CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas with concerns about settling and water in his crawl space and basement. Our Design Specialist, Jack, went to visit with him and inspect the area under his home. 

Solution

Our installation team went to work to prep and grade the dirt floor crawl space. They removed trash left by the builders and removed larger rocks. The porous concrete piers were wrapped with Wallie to prevent condensation, and the vents in the crawl space were sealed with our Vent Seals. Vent Seals prevent unconditioned outside air from entering the crawl space. The dimpled Drainage Matting rests on the dirt floor of the crawl space to provide a thermal break, and the CleanSpace Liner is secured to the walls and floor of the crawl space to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. Due to the separation of the basement from the crawl space, they installed a SaniDry XP Basement Air System and ran ducts out of the basement and into the crawl space. The SaniDry XP dries the air in the basement and crawl space, making the air smell better and reducing the chance of mold growth. The metal hinged and lockable door was custom made for this crawl space and basement entrance.
