Wet Crawl Space Repair in Little Rock
Challenge
This homeowner was worried about the moisture in his crawl space. He was starting to notice a mildew-like odor in his home, and he was sure there was mold growing in the crawl space. He also thought the beams under the floor needed to be replaced.
Solution
Our Design Specialist, John Trahan, inspected the crawl space and visited with the homeowner. John suggested a complete encapsulation with the SaniDry Sedona and SmartJacks for additional supports. The homeowner was thrilled to have a solution to his crawl space problems!
Our installation crew, led by Jason, started by removing all the debris from the area. They smoothed out the surface of the crawl space, knocking down any dirt mounds and filling any holes. They custom cut the EverLast Door to securely cover the entry to the crawl space and sealed the vents with SilverGlo Vent Seals. This will prevent outside air from entering the crawl space. They wrapped the piers with our 12-mil thick Wallie to prevent condensation from the porous concrete, and installed SmartJacks to provide additional support for a damaged support pier. The dimpled Drainage Matting was installed and the CleanSpace Liner was secured to the walls and floor of the crawl space. The Drainage Matting provides a thermal break while the CleanSpace Liner isolates the home from the earth, completely and permanently. The addition of the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier keeps the humidity in the crawl space below 60%, completing the encapsulation.
