Mayflower Crawl Space Sealing

Challenge

Homeowners in Mayflower were told they needed a vapor barrier in their newly purchased home. They were concerned with moisture and the damage it can do, so they call CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas. 

Solution

Curtis suggested a full encapsulation with the Ez Flow Drainage System, TripleSafe Sump Pump, and SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, and the homeowners agreed.

Stephen and his crew installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump in the lowest point of the crawl space. A trench was dug around the walls of the crawl space where the Ez Flow Drainage System would sit just below the footers and drain directly into the TripleSafe. The TripleSafe pumps all the water out of the crawl space and away from the home through IceGuard and the LawnScape Outlet. IceGuard allows water to escape if the discharge line becomes blocked by ice or debris. The LawnScape Outlet carries the water away from the home and releases it in the lawn while blending in with the environment around it. The vents were sealed, and piers were wrapped with Wallie, our 12-mil thick liner for masonry, designed to prevent moisture from seeping in through porous concrete. The crew then carefully installed the CleanSpace Liner, isolating the home from the earth, before installing the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. The SaniDry Sedona removes moisture from the air at a rate of up to 100 pints per day, keeping the air in the crawl space dry and clean.
