Beebe Crawl Space Moisture Solutions

Challenge

These homeowners in Beebe contacted CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas after they noticed their floors were sagging and soft. They were concerned about mold and mildew as well, so we asked one of our Design Specialists to visit with them and inspect their crawl space. He found standing water and mold, so he designed a solution the homeowners loved.

Solution

Our crews started by eliminating mold with our Mold-X2 Cleaner. This powerful cleaner actually kills mold and allows it to be removed from surfaces it is growing on. Next, the SmartSump Sump Pump was installed in the lowest point of the crawl space. A drainage line was run from the SmartSump to outside the home. Water from the SmartSump drains out of the home, through IceGuard, and is discharged in the lawn through the LawnScape Outlet. IceGuard allows water to escape should the discharge line freeze, preventing water from backing up into the crawl space. 

Inside the crawl space, the ground was prepped and graded to direct water flow towards the SmartSump. The vents were sealed with SilverGlo Vent Seals, and the EverLast Door was custom cut to fit the crawl space entry. SilverGlo Vent Seals are made from our SilverGlo Insulation Panels, keeping outside, unconditioned air out of the crawl space. Our dimpled Drainage Matting was anchored to the dirt floor, allowing water to flow beneath it and providing a thermal break. The CleanSpace Liner was installed, isolating the home from the earth permanently and completely. The finishing touch was the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, drying out the support structures of the home and keeping humidity below 60%.
