Challenge
This homeowner called in concerned about some moisture struggles, as well as some suspected mold and fungus growth, so he called the experts at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas Our System Design Specialist developed a plan and our crew got right to work to solve the homeowner's crawl space problems.
Solution
Our specialist decided that the best solution for this homeowner was for the crawl space to be treated with our Mold-X-2 Treatment, and he recommended a full CleanSpace Encapsulation System be installed. Our crew began by removing and disposing of all old insulation and debris, then sealed off all open vent holes with vent covers, to avoid letting warm, humid air into the crawl space area. The team then laid down a dimpled Drainage Matting over the floor of the crawl space, which will help to control moisture coming up from the dirt floor. Over the top, our 20-mil CleanSpace liner was laid down seamlessly throughout the crawl space and mechanically fastened to the walls and piers. Finally, Jordan and his crew installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which will keep the home below 55% relative humidity, so mold doesn't stand a chance and dust mites die off!
