Moisture issues in Crawlspace in Huntington, AR
Challenge
Luke E out of Huntington, Ar had a serious moisture issue in his crawl space. The moisture began to create a foul odor smell inside his house and start to buckle his floors in his kitchen. Luke tried to fix the issue on his own by purchasing a dehumidifier from Lowes. To Luke's surprise, the dehumidifier couldn't keep up with the demand. Luke decided to call the leading experts at Crawl Space Solutions to solve the issues.
Solution
When our System Design Specialist Jack arrived at Luke house, Jack immediately did his inspection to determine where and what the actual problem was. Jack's proposal would eliminate all moisture and prevent any moisture from occurring in the future.
The first thing we needed to do is seal the outside air from entering the home. Most dirt crawl spaces are vented to get moisture out. The problem is that the vents let warm humid air in during the summer. This adds moisture to the crawl space and makes the house harder to air condition as all this moisture needs to be rung out of the air. In the winter, the vent let in cold air, which causes very cold, uncomfortable floors upstairs and higher heating costs.
The next thing we did was install our CleanSpace liner and our SaniDry Sedona. The CleanSpace liner isolates your home from the earth. This dramatically reduces the humidity level in the air which, when combined with sealing outside air and dehumidification, will eliminate mold growth and rot from your crawl space and make the whole house healthier.
