Vapor Barrier in Drasco, AR
Challenge
Homeowner Jason J from Drasco Ar. has a vapor barrier that was installed from another company. However, Jason noticed that the barrier wasn't stopping mold and moisture from building up in his crawl space.
Solution
A vapor barrier is part of a moisture control strategy when it comes to your home, and specifically to the crawl space. When it comes to crawlspace vapor barrier installation, Our team will place a 20-mil polyethylene across the crawl space.
For Jason, we installed three products to ensure his vapor barrier will never need to be replaced again. We installed our Drainage Matting, CleanSpace, and our SaniDry Sedona. Our Drainage Matting is great for crawl space drainage under CleanSpace on concrete or dirt floors. The dimples allow better conductivity for water to get to the perimeter drainage or sump pump located in the lowest spot of the crawlspace. The Cleanspace liner is a white/blue seven-layer reinforced laminate containing no adhesives. The outer layer consists of high strength polyurethane film manufactured using virgin grade resins and containing UVI and thermal stabilizers. CleanSpace is reinforced with two separate plie of a 900 denier polyurethane reinforcement laid in a diagonal pattern spaced 3/8" apart with an additional machine direction polyester every 3" across the width. The individual plies are laminate together with molten polyethylene. The last thing we used is our SaniDry Sedona- which eliminates damp, musty odors in your basement or crawl space by drying and filtering the air! Mold and mildew are musty smelling fungi that thrive in moist conditions. Dust mite fecal matter is the #1 indoor allergen. The SaniDry Sedona will keep your home below 55% relative humidity- Mold won't stand a chance and dust mites will die off!
