CleanSpace Encapsulation in Bull Shoals, AR
Challenge
Homeowner Ann H. was having some major issues in her crawl space. That was beginning to take an effect on her entire house. Her crawl space had really high levels of humidity, extreme levels of mold and would flood every time it rained. She didn't know what to do, so Ann decided to call the experts at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas to get a free inspection!
Solution
The best solution for Ann was to install the CleanSpace vapor barrier around the perimeter of the crawl space and the floor, install a drainage matting on the floor, and install a vent cover to keep out as much of the humid air as possible.
The crew came out to install the products. The project began with installing the vent cover over the existing vent-hole, which would control the humid air coming through. The team then laid down a dimpled drainage matting over the floor of the crawl space, which would help control the moisture from the dirt floor. Over the top, the CleanSpace® vapor barrier was installed. This barrier was laid seamlessly throughout the crawl space, and then mechanically fastened to the walls to ensure stability.
We also installed our IceGuard and used our Mold-x2 on this house. Our IceGuard system allows water to escape from a sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. When the discharge pipe thaws or the blockage removed, the water will automatically run along its normal route.
Our Mold-X2-Is a neutralizer that provides an effective tool for cleaning and treatment of mold-contaminated building surfaces. Mold-x is sprayed on surfaces as a one stage process. Mold-x neutralizer has proved to be one of the most effective and least expensive treatments of its kind on the market today, providing an intelligent, proactive answer at a fraction of building material replacement cost. Mold-X can be used to neutralize mold on surfaces including basement or crawl space walls, floor joists, subfloors, etc. While Mold-X will neutralize mold at the time of application, it will not remove the neutralized mold which may still be visible.
