Homeowner Alfred R had standing water in his crawl space and mold as well. Alfred turned to the professionals here at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas!

Solution

For Alfred, he needed his crawl space repaired as soon as possible. Any time you have this much water in your crawl space, we need to act quickly, get the water out, dry everything and get rid of the mold. For this job we will be using our SmartSump, IceGuard, Drainage Matting, and our CleanSpace liner. 

Now, part of keeping your crawl space dry involves a sump pump. The state of the art SmartSump is designed just for crawl spaces. The liner and lid are designed to form a tight seal around the CleanSpace liner. Since you don't go into your crawl space often, you need to know if there is a plumbing leak. The SmartSump has a unique lid design so water from a plumbing leak fills an alarm pocket on the lid first, sounding a water watch alarm. From there, the water flows down a special airtight floor drain that lets water down, but damp air cannot come up into your crawl space. The alarm also alerts you to pump or power failures.

The IceGuard system allows water to escape from a sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow, the water can escape, allowing your sump pump to keep your basement dry. When the discharge pipe thaws, the water will automatically run along with its normal route, and no water will escape from the IceGuard. There are no values to turn, hose to attach, or anything for the homeowner to do at all- it's is totally automatic!!

The last thing is crew installed is our CleanSpace Encapsulation System. This system completely isolates your home from the earth. This dramatically reduces the humidity level in the air which will eliminate mold growth and rot from your crawl space and make the whole house healthier!
